The RTM team are very satisfied with the progress made with the car today. After testing they continued with chassis set up and changed the front springs ready for the 3 hours of qualifying tomorrow, 1 hour day qualifying and 2 hours night qualifying. They are also busy engineering vents for the side screens to stop the drivers overheating on their long 2 hour stints in the car!

Just a quick word to say best of luck to the RTM team, show those silly Porsche boys what a quaint old Morgan can do!

Testing report 6th September
The Roadster has passed scrutineering and noise check and has just returned to the pit garage after 2 hours testing. The car was running well and all 3 drivers went out for a stint. The team are now playing with the spring and damper settings on the car as well as different tyre compounds and are looking forward to qualifying tomorrow.
The RTM team are delighted to find they are adjoining pits with the Apex Jaguar GT3 team and the Aston Martin N24 Vantage, the Aston has recently completed the Nurburgring 24 hour race. Fantastic to have all the great British marques together!

Having only recently been bitten by the Morgan 'Bug' and having owned Porsche 911's and tuning Porsche cars for a living I think I could be forgiven having mixed feeling about which cars to support in the 24 hour. Hand on heart my thoughts and best wishes are with the RTM Morgan team. I know your approach to racing is as enthusiastic and professional as your approach to everything you do for your customers. This has to be a recipe for success. Good luck.

All the best for the 24 hour race. Given that Simon has devoted his life this year to building the race car let's give him a good result!
