Well done and congratulations to the whole team. The young drivers must have had a ball! Thanks for flying the flag! I'll make sure I'm there next year.

Congratulations and well done. I know how much effort you and the team have invested, with a fantastic result. I was looking on the web site last night and was thrilled to see the result, sorry I couldn’t have been there. Well done again!

RACE UPDATE | TIME: 16:33PM | TIME ELAPSED: N/A | TIME REMAINING: N/A
We had a dream debut in our brand new Roadster GT car at Silverstone at the weekend. The race itself goes from strength to strength with a record 62 entries with a significant foreign content providing a palpable increase in quality and professionalism. With 15 entries in our class (Class 1) and 11 British cars entered we were pitched against some very tough competition. We shared a pit garage with the Apex Motorsport factory approved Jaguar Xk8 GT3 car, next door was an Aston Martin N24 Vantage GT4 and next door again a Lotus Exige, altogether a very British enclave. I am delighted to say that we beat them all, finishing 4th in Class, 2nd British car (behind a massively powerful Marcos) and 17th overall!
The Roadster, which we built exclusively in house, performed perfectly from flag to flag. The team was one of only a handful that made NO unscheduled pitstops, only needing a routine pad change at 12 hours at a natural driver change and refuelling stop. She needed no oil or water added during the race! The engine, built to our own specification ran faultlessly throughout and was exceptionally fuel efficient.
Our driver line up included two 21 year olds, Tom Shrimpton and Tom Jones, and two Morgan enthusiasts, Glyn Davies, the Morgan dealer in Wales, and Russell Paterson, the reigning Powertorque Morgan Motor Company Challenge race series overall champion. Only Tom Shrimpton had previous 24 hour experience having run in our Aero 8 at last years Britcar 24 hour. All performed superbly.
